Getting there…

The Black and White BOM is progressing apace. I didn’t actually go to the full meeting last night but I popped in on my way home to get this week’s instructions. (And I got to see some of the blocks made from the ones I provided last time!)

This was Antique Tile and here is this week’s offering – Windblown:

I still need to quilt this block but at least it’s made! I now have 14 blocks so only 3 to go, although I also have 4 more from BHQ that I haven’t quilted. I’m not sure whether to include them, although I have made them in blacks too, just in case. This will be another quillow, with the 17th block forming the pocket on the back, so maybe that’s big enough. I’ve been enjoying quilt-as-I-go, knowing that it will make it easier for construction in the end but I’m not actually looking forward to the final sewing together. There may well be a couple of dvd’s involved in the process! 🙂

About sheppeylass

Mum of 4, I live on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. I've always sewn but the quilting bug snagged me a couple of years ago and now, with the encouragement of my artist husband, I'm spreading my wings into textile art.
