Long break!

row from MaggiIt’s been quite a while since I last was here but there’s been a lot going on!

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days at the Festival of Quilts last month and took 2 classes, one on Lutrador and brusho with Marion Burnett and one with Alicia Merrit on Landscapes. Both were very interesting, in very different ways and I’ve been busy playing since but no photo’s yet! I was also very happy to meet lots of friends from the Popular Patchwork forum – it was great to chat in real-time for once! Oh, and giggle, too – here’s hoping that we manage to meet up next year too!

I’ve been busy catching up on all sorts of swaps – postcards, journal and rows as well.

journal for Maggi

row from Maggi This beautiful row is from Maggi – she did trees in gorgeous hand- dyed fabrics in bright colours as requested. It will be a very bright quilt! 🙂

“Animals” for Jules

This is the second version of this postcard as unfortunately, I sent the first to the wrong address – sorry, Jules!

Tomorrow, I’ll post some pictures of  a quilt for my son, etc.

About sheppeylass

Mum of 4, I live on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. I've always sewn but the quilting bug snagged me a couple of years ago and now, with the encouragement of my artist husband, I'm spreading my wings into textile art.
