Flowers and a bonus!

Dh brought me some freesias yesterday – just the thing to brighten up a damp bank holiday! I was unwrapping them when I suddenly said “Cellophane!” and got more excited about the wrapping than the flowers, poor man…

DS though I’d finally cracked when I rinsed off the wrapping and asked him to peg it on the washing line to dry! He’d forgotten that I spent last Sunday painting cellophane and heating it for my Quilt University class on Elements in fabric. I’ve only got as far as making “fabrics” to use, not actually put anything together, but it’s been great fun ! This is a piece of painted cellophane, which may end with part of it used to create water.

About sheppeylass

Mum of 4, I live on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. I've always sewn but the quilting bug snagged me a couple of years ago and now, with the encouragement of my artist husband, I'm spreading my wings into textile art.
